What is it?

Its a Tegan and Sara tshirt from the ‘Sainthood Era’

Gimme the deets..

It’s printed on an American Apparel Girl shirt, Size M. Bought it at the Shepherds Bush Empire show, 13 November 2009. Its been folded up and living in my wardrobe ever since I got home as shown by the ridiculous creases down the front. I can iron it, whatever.

Not a thing wrong with it. Bought it while caught up in a Tegan and Sara merch frenzy. Got home and realised I didn’t even like it. It’s in the exact same condition I bought it in and never been worn. It’s been living in my wardrobe happy with the rest of my Tegan and Sara tshirt collection for just over 3 years. I have decided that it needs to find a better home so it can reach its ultimate tshirt life goal of being worn by someone who loves it

Right, what do I gotta do then?

My sister was born in the U.S. on December 31st. If we take her birth time into account, my birthday comes before hers on the 31st.

i went to sc pride yesterday and had 5 glasses of wine because beer is just awful and i can’t drink that

anyways i was literally so outgoing and social and i saw the curve magazine tent and went over to praise them for having tegan and sara on their cover twice

and it turned out that they had back issues of the old cover that were free, but only one per person

and i already have this magazine because i got it when it came out in 09 and it’s in mint condition in my closet with all my other magazines with them on it

anyway so i was drunk and then like

i was like “IF I SUBSCRIBE TO CURVE CAN I HAVE ANOTHER MAGAZINE THESE ARE MY BABIES YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND” and the women that were running it laughed and said sure

so then i drunkenly subscribed for the one-year online magazines for $10 so i could have these two magazines and rainbow bracelets

wow i’m so easy to manipulate when i’ve been drinking

anyway so the point of this whole post was that i want to give one of them to someone that never got a chance in 2009 to pick this magazine up but there is two things you need to know:

1. united states inquiries only please because i am too poor for international shipping

2. there are some slight abrasions in the right corner of both magazines because well…oops i spilled wine all over myself and it got on them too but i’ll send off the top one because it’s in a little better condition

at least they smell like pinot grigio

and hey no complaining allowed because well it’s free

so i guess this is a giveaway thing or something, you can reblog it, idk, i’m sending it off on friday once i get my paycheck so i’ll pick someone then

First T&S Show Ever

I had the most AMAZING night.

Around 1 P.M. yesterday, I received an e-mail from Tegan and Sara telling me I had won the Sonos contest. The original winner could not make it and this was last minute. You could not imagine my excitement and immediately, I asked my girlfriend if she wanted to meet Tegan and Sara. I had a dream about this, I kid you not.

We arrived at the meeting place at the meeting time, met the other winner and her twin, and the third winner did not even show up (Can you believe that?!)! This was my first time seeing Tegan and Sara and the first thing I noticed is how tiny they are! They are adorable. I shook both their hands as they introduced themselves and stepped into their tour bus. Then, they said a few words and got off the bus (Sara struggled with the door handle). They waited outside (because they realized it was awkward to just stare at their fans) while we listened to four songs from Heartthrob. I don’t even have words for them.

We got to see inside the bus where they have their bunk beds. They hopped back on the bus and talked to us for a bit. Asking what songs we’d like to hear tonight. Answered a question about whether twins should live together or apart (the other winner came with her twin). They are the nicest individuals ever. We were running short on time. We took pictures (I totally held onto Tegan’s waist) and got a few things signed. They quickly hopped off the bus once again to get ready for the show.

Those few minutes were more than I can ask for. I was not prepared at all to meet my favorite people of all time since it was all so sudden. It still kind of feels like it wasn’t real!

They did an awesome set. I could not see the whole stage, but I kept Tegan in my view. The woes of being tiny. They played song after song, with little or no break in between. They played ALL my favorite songs! They sound amazing live.

I cannot wait to see them again in December. :)
